SKILL
SKILL
Your Skill Ability - A special knack or talent
Silly is the skill you reach for when all else has failed. When things are at their lowest and the situation has turned strange or dangerous, Silly steps in. Sometimes its a fart joke, or a well timed joke. No Wizard is above being Silly, and no Wizard is immune to it. It’s often used when logic, and dignity have all run out.
Silly can dismiss tensions, diffusing impossible moments. It interrupts outcomes that were headed somewhere nasty. At the right time, it can break a stare-down, prevent violence, or remind every Wizard involved that reality is hilariously subjective.
In Wizard City, being Silly isn't a weakness, it’s a solid defence.
SILLY
Intimidation is the Skill of wishing a Wizard would. Watch everyone you cross reconsider without you saying a word. Your Skill lives in the ability to give a cold stare held too long, or a grin that arrives at exactly the wrong moment. Used correctly, it reads as confidence. Used poorly, it reads as unhinged as %#ck. The line between the two is thin and entirely up to how you play it. This Skill is a of will more than strength.
Intimidation doesn’t threaten, it implies. It lets the other person imagine the consequences on their own, which is usually worse. In Wizard City, a look can end a fight before it starts, or start one no one else was ready for.
Intimidation
Rhythm is the Skill of jamming to the beat of your own #*cking drum. It’s about all about tempo and timing. You know exactly when to react without stopping to think about why. Those whomst rely on Rhythm have instinct, muscle memory, and a deep internal sense of passion that can’t be learned, only tuned. A step too early or too late can ruin everything.
In Wizard City, Rhythm turns chaos into flow, letting actions clean up nicely. If you like the sounds of sequences lining up, and moments hit with purpose this is your Skill. When the Rhythm hits right, it feels effortless. When it’s off, everything in Wizard City notices.
Rhythm
Persuasion is the Skill of getting what you want without a Wizard feeling forced. It lives in the gift of gab. Using sometimes a steady voice, or eyes that make a Wizard lean inward instead of pulling away. Whatever the source, it works because you believe you, or at least believe in the version of you, you’re offering.
In Wizard City, Persuasion doesn’t command or demand obedience. Subtlely you invite cooperation. Using a few well-chosen word or perfectly timed smile can open doors. You shift loyalties, making impossible as your requests feel completely reasonable. When Persuasion is done right, it doesn’t feel like manipulation. A Wizard might even feel like it was their idea all along.
Persuasion
Flexing is the inner and outer strength. It’s lifting, breaking, holding, or moving something simply because you can.
In Wizard City, Flexing isn’t just about being strong, it’s about knowing exactly how strong you are. A dagger snaps against your abs. Your grip doesn’t slip. A dexterous move lands with precision instead of failure. Flexing is raw power fused with certainty while ignoring any and all pain. In this for a brief moment gravity, and doubt all agree to step aside. Don’t be afraid to come up with a catch phrase as you land those nat 14s on the D14. #Flexing
FLexing
Tree Huggin’ is the skill of communing with nature. You are part hippie and druid, or maybe a shaman. Regardless of the title you give or don’t give yourself cause you “dont do labels dude...” You know these parts and without pretending it’s quiet or polite, that could save a life or two. You hear the bees busily bustling and buzzing. You know the secrets of the squirrels latest gossips. You know all to well about how much the plants complain about the weather. Roots, leaves, and soil seem have “opinions,” and Tree Huggers often know how to listen.
In Wizard City, this Skill isn’t about escaping civilization, it’s about remembering what feeds it. Tree Huggers protect anything that’s rooted and growing, sometimes to Wizard City’s inconvenience. They don’t need towers or streets, just trees, water, wind, sun on their face, some fresh fruit, and maybe a magick mushroom or two.

REsourcefulness
Resourcefulness is doing it anyway when there’s nothing left but to make do. When it’s down to the last wire and the Gobbos are low, you make it happen. You live to improvise, and tactfully repurpose. By stealing time, borrowing luck, and refusing to stall out just because “some wizard’s” plan fell apart.
In Wizard City, Resourcefulness is a mere miracle not magick. Scraping by or fully stocked, you find a way through, delivered on time, no matter the cost.
Athletic
Athletic is always having your eye on the ball. You understand offense and defense instinctively, move with purpose, and know how to work as part of a team. Training shows in every step, and in every catch. You made the cut, by you keep making it.
You stack Wizard City trophies instead of excuses. Win after win, season after season, you prove it wasn’t luck. If gold weren’t illegal, you’d be buried in medals. As it stands, Wizard City knows your record by heart, and that counts somewhat. Well there was that onetime you were interviewed for the Wizard City Press in an official ABKB 14 story...
Gumption is grit peppered with dust in it. It’s the kind of stubborn drive that keeps a dead ass stubborn mule moving uphill and the root deeply planted when the ground gives way. You don’t scare easy, don’t spook quickly, and you sure as hell don’t quit just because the ride gets little bit rocky and rough.
You maybe a little reckless but in Wizard City, Gumption belongs to the cowpokes who stay in the saddle long after “smarter” Wizard type folks got thrown. It’s raw nerve, and calloused will that sets you apart. You hold a quiet promise that you’ll see things through no matter how ugly it gets. When the trail runs cold and the odds turn bitter, Gumption is what keeps you riding on that fiery horse without getting burned.

Performance
Performance is the skill you learned young, by putting on puppet shows and finding ways to impress the Wizards around you. Whether it was humor, poetry, music, or pure presence, you learned how to reach past words and touch other souls in Wizard City. Attention isn’t stolen, it’s earned, and you know how to earn it. There’s always a little drama in the act, but that’s part of the deal even if it involves breaking a few eggs to make an omelet...
In Wizard City, Performance means committing fully to the bit. You can’t lose focus when things go horribly wrong. The lights might flicker and dim and the crowd might uncomfortably shift. You may actually break a leg or two but the rule stays the same: “the show must go on.”
parkour
Parkour is plain and simple. You flip over anything, slide down buildings, and catwalk wherever you damn well please. Walls are just suggestions, gaps are open invitations.
In Wizard City, no one gets in your way because no one can keep up. You don’t stop, you flow. Enuff said. #parkour
Let’s be real, Gobbos move mountains. Money talks, walks, and Wizards don’t mind filling their pockets. Deals are everywhere and magick moves money fast. If there’s leverage to be had, you can sniff it before the ink dries.
In Wizard City, the banks love you and everyone’s always got a new business idea they swear is gunna make the Gobbos. You listen, you spend, you leverage and most importantly you make the numbers work. Good days end when contracts get signed, and somehow you’re already cranking the next deal in your sleep.
Negotiation
Multi-tasking is balancing with too many things and not having enough time. You refuse to drop any of your balancing act. You move between problems, conversations, and half-finished spells so fast it’s hard to tell whether time is slowing down or you’re speeding up.
In Wizard City, Multi-tasking isn’t about perfection, it’s about finished results. Threads get pulled, plates keep spinning, and somehow everything lands where it needs to. No one sees the chaos behind it, only that it worked.
Multi-tasking
skater
Skaters trash, shred, and grind their hearts out. Do Wizards skateboard? You bet your sweet butt they do. No one in Wizard City knows where the first board came from, but within twenty-four hours every Wizard had one.
Ramps appeared overnight. Rails became sacred. Gravity started losing arguments as gaps were getting thrashed. Even the Wizards pushing mango are cleaning it up at the local park. Pro or Am doesn’t matter, titles don’t matter. In Wizard City, the motto is simple: We Skate till death.
